Our team at Intense Cycles has been on the hunt for some great clubs and racing the last few months. We were given the heads up from some local riders in Melbourne that we needed to head out to the You Yang Mtn’s just outside of Melbourne for their triple header Enduro. We loaded up the Demo rig and headed down south where we were greeted with amazing weather and some great vibes.
On Saturday we were busy with over 38 people taking advantage of the Intense for Life Demo experience. We really love our demo days being able to share the story of Intense Cycles and most of all hearing the excitement from the riders as they come in from their first ride aboard one of our bikes. We would have to say the best stories come from the riders that try the Tazer E-bike for the first time. If you haven’t had the chance to demo one of our bikes, we suggest you get to one of the demo days soon.
Sunday was race day, and the stage was set for a great day of racing. The race runs were 3 stages that were shuttled where you could ride the stages as many times as you would like but only two runs per stage would count to your total time. The trails were suited for all ages and abilities with a slippery decomposed granite surface with some technical sections challenged most riders throughout the weekend. The club had a great turnout with over 250 unique riders of all ages and abilities where everyone could be challenged.
The event ran seamless all day long and at the end of the day of racing you could tell the racers and family’s felt the same way with smiles all around the venue. We would like to thank the You Yang Mountain bike club and all the volunteers for having us out and putting on a great event. We will back to the You Yang’s in no time we are sure of that.
