Intense Factory Racing at Fort Bill & Leogang

Hard to believe we are already 3 rounds into the World Cup season, with Val Di Sole just a few of weeks away. As Shark Attack Jack recovers from injury, Dean Lucas & Charlie Harrison have been on track in Scotland and Austria for Intense Factory Racing.

_____

Rd 1: Fort William, Scotland

On the longest track of the series, Charlie Harrison launches skyward in qualifying at Fort William to find 33rd place ahead of Sunday's racing. A big digger and concussion for Dean Lucas during practice meant he would sit out of racing for the weekend, leaving Charlie to bring the team home.

Finishing off a strong weekend, Charlie was 18th fastest in Elite Men, with goals to step it up to top 10 race results as the World Cup season progresses. And despite sitting out for the weekend, Dean held his ground on the leaderboard, with series contention for the top 5 overall.

______

Rd 2: Leogang, Austria

After following the UCI's strict concussion protocol, Dean was cleared by UCI doctors to compete a week after his crash at Fort Bill. With a new track and weekend to find his flow, Dean worked hard to quickly work back up to race pace while Charlie sought the speed to improve on last weekends' results.

Despite threatening weather that is all too familiar for riders on race day, finals in Leogang were uninterrupted by weather.

We're all stoked to see Dean back on the bike for round 3; even more impressed to see him roll home into 26th place to secure some valuable points and move into 12th place overall.

The IFR crew watch on expectantly...

A solid finals run from Charlie put him just 0.3s from outside the top 10, taking 14th place and sliding into 17th on the UCI overall standings.

In just a few weeks time, we'll see the whole team reunited for round 4 in Val Di Sole, Italy. Jack is hoping to be cleared shortly, while Dean is back home for some rest, and Charlie is off to compete at Crankworx Innsbruck.
